Xylophone for the Middle School Band

My Students

My students range in age from 4 years old to 14 years old and attend a small school in South Eastern Wisconsin. We have a very well stocked general library, however, we are needing more children's literature that pertains to their musical education.

These students work hard in their education and are examples of class and dignity.

I am proud of them as students, musicians, and humans every single day I see them. They deserve to have the very best materials and resources.

My Project

Music for a standard middle school band does not require excessive amounts of percussion equipment, but it does require the basics. In our small school, we do not currently have the basics.

In order for our growing band to play the best quality music, we need to have basic mallet percussion instruments such as the xylophone.

Currently, we only have two small bell kits (small glockenspiels) that help get students started in percussion but are not sufficient to prepare students for high school music (and beyond). This xylophone is an important addition to our percussion equipment and will allow the students many more opportunities in their middle school band experience.
