Literacy and music go hand in hand and providing my students with quality literature will only help increase their love for reading and music. The students in my classroom love the opportunity to read and sing books whenever they get the chance! However, we do not have enough books to go around. The books purchased will be used in both whole group classroom instruction as well as for independent study and exploration among the individual students. Some of the requested books already have a recording or a tune assigned to them while others will be used as a basis for students to create their own music.
