Writing Wonderland

My students need two classic tabletop writing centers to organize their materials for writing workshop. Right now, we have stacks of unorganized papers and not enough materials for them to to publish their stories.

My Students

We are an inner city school, where almost 50% of our students receive free or reduced price lunch. Our school has fabulous families, a superstar staff, a caring community, and most importantly, amazing kids! Each day these kids come to school with big smiles on their faces, huge hugs to share, and loads of enthusiasm!

Some of my students travel by bus, a great distance, to be able to learn at our school.

I want to provide the materials needed to engage my students at the level they deserve!

My Project

My students need two organization centers for their writing materials, colored paper for covers, paper booklets to publish stories, and headphones to be able to listen to music to get their creative juices flowing during their writing process. My students absolutely love writing and are constantly asking me for more materials to publish their work. They would like laminate pouches for our classroom laminator so that they can laminate their covers to their stories as well. I want to continue to foster their love of writing and for them to see themselves as authors who will produce writing for their readers to enjoy.
