My students need an inviting, cozy and comfortable area with a carpet to start their day! We begin every morning with Morning Meeting where students come together, greet one another, and begin their day in our classroom community. This is a place where students deserve to feel comfortable sharing with others and this is difficult to do when sitting on an uncomfortably bare floor! We also use the floor throughout the day during various interactive learning structures. This time gives students a chance to get out of their desks and collaborate comfortably with their peers. A carpet would greatly improve their stamina and engagement during these activities. We would greatly appreciate any donation towards our goal so that we can accomplish our hopes and dreams this year. Thank you!
