Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
What makes my students special? My students are special for a number of reasons, but the most important one is that despite their low social economic status, my students are filled with dreams and goals. They come from many different living arrangements and broken homes where dreams are shattered, but when they come to school they are filled with hope that their dreams are indeed possible.
98% of the students that attend our campus are labeled as "at risk" students, but here they are given the opportunity to succeed and not become a statistic.
My students are aware of their surroundings and because of this, they are natural born fighters. In my class, I teach them to protect themselves with words and an education, the only form of protection that one should ever need.
My students fill my classroom with life and I am proud to be a part of their education.
My Project
My students love learning with classroom interaction. The items included will give my students an opportunity to have their voices heard. My learners love to to work together and the quick response erase boards would be a fun way to quickly engage my scholars.
My classrooms are filled with english language learners and I want them to be provided with the best education.
I added items that will be used for differentiation in my class. The magnetic reading and writing boards will be used to help bridge the language barriers that may arise.
I also added items that will provide a warm and inviting atmosphere to our class environment.
