Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a teacher from a low socioeconomic school, I work with the most challenged of students. Parents send their students to our school with the hopes that they will be given the tools and knowledge to excel in their education. They are the best kids ever!
My students are an amazing group of kids.
They are hardworking, enthusiastic, and very respectful. They come to school every day ready to learn, put in their best effort, and take pride in their work.
My Project
I'm asking for help in purchasing some supplies for my classroom. We use whiteboards daily in my classroom for math and reading. The whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. What becomes a problem is the fact that the markers never seem to last. Another thing we never seem to have enough of is sharpened pencils! I am asking for a pencil sharpener and pencils. My students love to be creative and write, what better way for them to showcase their work than with dry erase markers and pencils that have erasers!
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will also help to add some creativity and fun to a classroom filled with amazing kids!
Thank you for taking the time to read our story! These supplies will help spark creativity as my students work hard preparing for their future.
