My students amaze me each and everyday! This kindergarten classroom is filled with students speaking a variety of languages, and come from all kinds of backgrounds. Some students are here as refugees from another country, some are currently living in homeless shelters with their families, while others live in apartments with several families.
Despite their circumstances the come to school each day ready to learn with a smile on their face!
My students work hard each and every day in order to get ready for first grade. Each student has similar but different goals to achieve each day and everyone is making progress toward their goal. I want all my students to be proud of their accomplishments no matter how small.
My Project
My students are in need of materials to help their writing. At each Childs table or desk spot I would like to have a dry erase surface that the children could write on and use to practice throughout the day if they finish an activity before the other students.
These materials would be easily accessible to the students throughout the school day, and there are so many things that they can practice using them.
I would like to have the students practicing writing their numbers and making up addition or subtraction stories in the morning when we do whole and small group math. In the afternoon I would like to have the student practicing their whole names, writing sight words, and creating sentences.
