This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We are a Title I school in Washington, D.C. We don't get much funding for the students and it can sometimes effect our student in learning more. My students are anxious to learn new things and be exposed to new experiences.
There are so many needs for these students and I just want to make sure they have the best chance at succeeding.
My students come in every day eager to learn, and it is my hope to have a classroom set up to help them be their best. We are in need of more books for the children to choose from.
My Project
These materials will make a big difference in my students learning. We go through a lot of pencils because we are always writing. So we are in need of pencils to continue our writing. We also need more journals because we have already almost completed our journals. The joy the kids have to be able to express themselves in writing is a outlet for some of them. I have student would choose to express there feelings in writing which can also minimize behavioral issues. So these materials are a big part of their learning and there need to express themselves.
