Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My four and five year old students are inquisitive, energetic learners with hearts full of love. They are naturally curious about their world and spend every second of their school day desiring to learn more. Their knowledge grows through interactive read-alouds, pretend play, and daily social interactions.
These littlest ones who are just beginning their school career deserve the best and most engaging materials to allow their love of learning to flourish!
My students in our Title I primary school come from various backgrounds and bring many unique qualities to the classroom. They face challenges inside and outside of school. My goal is to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment to provide them with a solid foundation of learning.
My Project
Children at this age are developing their sense of the world while also building essential learning and foundational skills. During these preschool years, children are developing their love for learning and can do so through inviting activities and materials.
These engaging materials will help children develop and practice their writing skills and reinforce their alphabetic knowledge.
Children will have the opportunity to use the materials during work station time and free choice time. The Alpha-Bots will be an engaging material that can also encourage problem solving and imaginative play. Additionally, the writing materials and dot markers will allow children to apply their previous learning in a fun, hands-on way.
