My Students

I have the greatest group of 3rd Graders! They live out in the beautiful countryside and attend a small PreK-8 school of approximately 150 students. They attend a school where they are loved and cared for, where every teacher wants them to be successful! Our school is very special, we are known for being the little school with a BIG heart!

My students have a hunger for learning and need resources that will support their success.

I want to be able to provide memorable learning experiences that engage student learning, and help them by providing multiple learning opportunities with things such as books, manipulatives and much more!

My Project

The 3rd Grade Units of Study in Opinion, Information, and Narrative Writing will positively impact each of my students and help them to become better writers. This resource will help me as the teacher to guide effective instructional research based practices that are engaging and meaningful.

Students will become confident and purposeful writers.

Each day we have a time called Writer's Workshop where students are taught mini lessons and collaborate about the writing lesson with each other. After, students collaborate they go back to their seats and write. Myself and another teacher walk around to conference with each student and discuss their ideas and how to improve their writing. These units will help to make this time more engaging and purposeful, allowing each minute to be strategically planned to assist and support students.
