Kindergartners learns throughout the day and I would like to add more writing material in our writing center. I am an Inclusion Kindergarten Teacher at a low income school. I want my students to learn how to write using appropriate material. This would provide students with large pencils and letter recognition stamps.
My students enjoys writing throughout the day in my classroom. We were using regular size pencil and all I did was sharpen them all day. The lead in the pencil would break and students spent more time asking me could they sharpen their pencils than during their writing. Also, I have one set of alphabet stamps that the students try to share in the writing center. Due to budget cuts, my school do not have the funds to purchase my materials.
I am asking to add to my classroom one packs of letter stamps to have students make words during my guided reading time. I would also like to add the rubber stamps and jumbo pencils to increase the student sight word knowledge along with using the correct pencil for writing.
By funding this proposal, you will provide my student's with a great beginning in writing and using letter stamps to make new words that will enhance their lives forever. Thank you for helping children and families.
