My Students

First grade is such an exciting stage of rapid development. Students are expected to grow a significant amount of levels in both reading and math, and my kiddos are up for the challenge! They are silly, creative and compassionate.

My students face many obstacles on their path to success, but I am dedicated to ensuring their access to resources and supplies isn't ever one of them!

We are a high poverty Title One school that doesn't receive adequate funding for resources and supplies. My students bond into a classroom family, building each other up and always pushing each other to do their very bests. They are wiggly learners, and love to learn by getting their hands messy with content!

My Project

This project includes 30 double sided white boards and 36 dry erase markers. I currently have 28 students, so this will be just enough for students to each have one of each, with a few remaining.

The white boards can be used for all subjects and for varied purposes.

The lined side can be used to practice writing our letters and our sight words. The blank side is perfect for math. The boards are also magnetic so students can use the magnet number and letter set I already have to practice their skills at their independent stations during guided reading.
