My Project

I don’t know much about my new students yet. However, I do know that they are 5-year-olds who attend a Title I school in a rural part of the city. I also know that many will be unable to afford the basic supplies needed for our daily instruction such as crayons, glue sticks and pencils!

Did you know that the average cost for a supply list for a kindergarten student is $70-$100?

For many families that’s just not feasible. It would take away from money for food, clothing, or utilities. They just can’t afford it. That is where you and I come in. I am hoping to provide as many of the items from that list as I can, relieving some of that burden from the families! I am requesting an abundance of pencils, crayons, and glue sticks, making fewer things these parents need to purchase from their supply list. I hope you can help me help them! Thank you for your support for my awesome students and helping them write, draw, be creative, and develop fine motor skills!
