This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our 4th and 5th grade students are curious, creative, and full of potential. Across our five upper elementary classrooms, we have the joy of working with five dedicated teachers and 120 incredible young learners who show up each day ready to explore, ask thoughtful questions, and bring their imaginations to life. They thrive on hands-on activities, colorful visuals, and opportunities to express themselves through writing, art, and collaboration.

This project will give our students the tools they need to learn, create, and grow with confidence.

Glue sticks, scissors, and tape will be used for interactive notebooks, anchor charts, and science projects—helping students visualize and understand complex ideas. Construction paper, Sharpies, and laminating pouches will support the creation of vibrant displays and personalized portfolios that allow students to celebrate and take ownership of their work. Expo markers will promote active participation in math lessons and small-group discussions on whiteboards. Lined and squared composition notebooks will serve as essential tools for writing, journaling, and practicing math fluency in a structured, consistent format.

Our goal is to ensure that each of our five classrooms is fully equipped to engage students in creative, collaborative learning. These resources will foster collaboration, creativity, and confidence across all subject areas.
