Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a very diverse group of eager students in my classroom that come from all over the world with various backgrounds and learning styles. They enjoy learning new material in all subjects, especially reading and math, My students enjoy collaborating and learning from one another in a variety of ways including whole group, small group, and partner investigations.
As second graders, we work daily in differentiated small groups to meet the enrichment needs of all students.
They actively take what they are learning in the classroom and apply newly learned objectives to real world situations and are encouraged to be creative problem solvers and use higher level thinking to make connections to their work.
My Project
Write and Wipe white boards and the small group teaching easel are important supplies that will get utilized by the entire class on a daily basis. Students can use the write and wipe boards during small group instruction to work out and share their thinking. They can also be used in independent and partner learning stations, as well. The small group teaching easel is a versatile tool for the teacher to model work in all subject areas and will be used multiple times during the day.

The small group teaching easel is an easy to clean tool and is, also, magnetic, which gives the teacher various opportunities to differentiate learning in a small group and individualized setting. The write and wipe lapboards are the perfect size for students in the classroom. They are sturdy for every day use and both tools will be a wonderful addition to any classroom!
