Can you believe that the end of the year is almost approaching already? Our hard-working first graders who have been working hard and smart since Day 1 need a few updated items in the classroom.
In our classroom, we have a calm space that has been used daily by our first graders.
This space has been there for our students when they need a moment to gather their emotions, a quiet alone time, a space where they can relax to complete their work, and more! The new cushion and the mat along with their favorite calm toy will continue to support our students in self-regulating their emotions.
Additionally, we would love memorabilia that reminds how each one of the students worked to build and support one another this year! Through this gift, we are planning to create a tie-dye drawstring bag and sign each other’s names on a cap. Students will also be able to use the bag across many months. I mean, is there a better way to wrap up the year then celebrating one another with keepsakes?
