My Students
Kindergarten is the place to be and the beginning of each and every student's educational careers. Kindergarten is the foundation for every student to be successful. In kindergarten we are learning to line up, write, color, spell, read, be a good student and so much more. There are so many new things we are learning each and every day. Kindergarten is not like it was twenty years ago, let alone five years ago. We are reading, writing sentences and meeting standards that were accomplished by first graders a few years ago.
I would like to instill the joy of learning and also be successful at social skills.
Every kindergartner should enjoy coming to school. By having a wonderful place for them to play, and explore it will hopefully instill that love of learning.
My Project
I would like to foster a joy of reading. If our classroom had a comfy rug to enjoy some wonderfully inspirational books, we could change the world. Young children need to have as many books available for them to touch, view and explore to gain the excitement of reading a book. Our society is changing and our young children are not getting exposed to real books that they have to turn pages. Children are reading but in digital form. I would like to get more books into children hands and instill that joy reading and looking at books.
