The shade strcture will allow all the playground to be utilized in all types of weather. At this point in our school year the dramatic play area is played on constantly but when it becomes hot during most of our school year, the students can't and won't play there. Their little kindergarten feet get too hot because the sun heats up their toys and it makes it impossible to play. The shade will allow the students to enjoy their playground to the fullest year around and allow them to have that freedom to choose where they would like to play. The shade structure will also protect the playground in the winter months by keeping that area free from getting too slick to walk on. The potential shaded area is where the dramatic play area is. With the outdoor acrylic art easel this would allow this play ground to be utilized to the fullest.
