My Students
I have the pleasure to teach students grades 5-12 which is amazing! Each of my students are incredibly excited for the school year, already working hard, and practicing. There are so many students interested in music this year that we do not have enough supplies.
All of my students are hard-working, fun individuals with quite the creative sides. They are hoping to have awesome concerts for the community, and performances for our sporting events. Our goal is to have an amazing school year with lots of improvement and incredible fun!
My Project
Not only will my students learn how to play various new smaller percussion instruments, but it will also increase our repertoire and we will be able to explore world music and sounds. It will also be excellent to have our bass drums not ring so much so we get a cleaner sound while playing drumline music. These percussion instruments will be used for 5-12th grade, therefore all of my bands and choirs will be able to play more difficult pieces of music that require more percussion sounds in addition to making all of my students better musicians through the extra challenges new music has to offer.
