World Music Drumming

My Project

In our small school, I teach band 4-12, but also several general music classes. One of them is a world music class. I'm always looking for more ways to make this class enjoyable and a hands-on experience. I also need projects for them do on their own or with a small group as I teach a couple other general music classes at the same time.

This is where having drums and music resources come into play.

See what I did there? "Come into play"? Yes! Having authentic drums and music of the various cultures to play makes the music of the world come alive! World music class is more than just the slide presentations and taking notes. It's making music and learning the folk songs of the cultures we are studying. Thank you for helping to build our world music class.
