My Project

I teach 6th-grade world history in a middle school setting. It can be quite intimidating for our students to come onto campus for the first time. We have over 1,200 students and they have 7 classes. To make it more inviting I use rewards and incentives to create a positive classroom atmosphere.

The Lifesavers, Motts, Goldfish crackers, and stickers will be used as rewards for positive actions and behaviors in class.

It is wonderful to be able to acknowledge students who make great decisions every day. It can be a tough transition and I want to make it a little easier.
