Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I am an elementary teacher in an urban school district in Wisconsin. Currently, 100% of our students receive free lunch.

I am privileged to teach in a school with an 18:1 student to teacher ratio class.

Our mission is to help students achieve high standards and to increase learning opportunities for all students, preparing them to be independent thinkers and lifelong learners.

My school has a focus on student-led learning through games. My students come to school excited to see what is planned for the day and look forward to the engaging lessons I have planned. With help from you, my students will have all the resources they need to be scholars.

My Project

My students want to become world class readers. I plan to use these two kits to enrich and support my students. I work with small groups of students each day on targeted skills and I try to make the activities as engaging and real-life as possible. These two kits will help me do just that.

I look forward to integrating these materials into my classroom to better assist my students.

They are always eager to try a new strategy or approach and they love playing games while learning at the same time. These materials are just what we need to make that happen! Please consider donating today!
