This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Nothing is more rewarding than helping a child achieve one of their dreams. My third-grade students are eager to learn and achieve their goals. However, most are working below grade level, making it difficult for them to follow the classroom curriculum. They are struggling in all academic subject areas, especially math and reading. They need the right resources to make them successful this school year.

My third grade students are bright, motivated, and one-of-a-kind individuals.

We can help them by providing the resources they need to reach their goals. Even though it has become extremely difficult and sometimes frustrating to educate without needed supplies, my students still come to school ready to learn. DonorsChoose.org is an amazing organization that supports and enhances the learning experiences for all students.

My Project

My wonderful third grade students have a hard time sitting in their seats all day and maintaining focus. That is why I want to include some flexible seating options in my classroom to address the needs of my students with ADHD. The stools will help my students with attention concerns work out the wiggles.

Having stools will give my students flexible seating options that will help them focus and be more attentive to their learning.

Stools will make our math center a nice place to sit and learn during math rotations. The center table is less crowded and the rubber on the stool legs keeps the noise level down making it easier for everyone in class. The students will use the manipulatives to build an understanding of the properties of geometric shapes. They will explore the various shapes, sizes, patterns, and measurements.

By providing my students with some comfortable seating options, they will have a more enjoyable and productive learning experience. Thank you for considering funding this project. My students and I greatly appreciate it!
