My Students

My kindergarten students are so energetic and loving. They are super excited to be at school for the first time and to learn about their letters, numbers. etc. We are working hard to help each and every student to begin (and continue) building their reading and math skills each day. My students love being engaged with hands on learning and constantly exploring new things. In our class we are a team and love to go on new adventures.

My Project

Oral language is a huge part of Kindergarten. We have set aside time each day for students to build their oral language and social skills. Having ESL students in our class it will help build their vocabulary and language skills as well. Our Oral Language Block is a time for my students to learn and build upon their social skills were we learn to work and play together. During the pandemic students have not had the opportunity to be social and use their fine motor skills in the classroom

Building social skills in a crucial part of learning in kindergarten.

Students love to build and giving them more options and tools to build their imagination and help with fine motor skills. Having new tools and object such as building puzzles, tangrams and car tracks they can build new inventions and use their imagination. When students are learning to build they are using their STEM skills to figure out how to connect and create new structures. Students can use school supplies and other fine motor tools to build their skills to help with writing and cutting.
