This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
All my preschool students come from a variety of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. In addition, are considered ELL since their first language is Spanish. All of them love to learn new things, while developing acceptance towards personal and cultural differences.
My students ages ranges from 4 to 5 years old.
Some of them receive Special Education related services due to delays in certain areas of their development. However, learning opportunities are provided for all since they hold so much potential and are capable of achieving whatever they put their smart brains too.
All my students are very active and enthusiastic young learners whose growing bodies still need a lot of visual cues to complete specific giving tasks. By having new magnetic hands-on letters will allow fine motor development, letter formation, and recognition.
My Project
We all want to start the school year on the right foot, and that includes being healthy and safe. With COVID-19 still around it is vital that I make sure that all surfaces are clean, hand washing is completed before or during the school day.
As a preschool teacher, providing a sanitized and germ free learning environment is vital for all my young students to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
We must clean surfaces every 30 minutes and by having enough liquid clorox to sanitize all surfaces being utilized during our school day we will protect our young learners from becoming infected.
We will need to clean down all surfaces, including: toys, sleeping cots, learning resources, several times a day. I understand that our school might provide some supplies for each preschool classroom, but not enough for what I will need. I work with young students and having paper towels, hand soap and clorox to sanitize our classroom which will help us to provide a safe and clean learning environment for these young learners. Please help me make this work for my students!
