Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Tagalog, Urdu, Turkish, and Spanish are some of the many languages spoken by the children in my classroom. Our school is a Title I, inner-city school, where 90% of the children receive free or reduced-price lunch. My children are extremely eager to learn and are very appreciative of everything that is given to them. They love coming to school and are excited to begin each day.
My students face many challenges in their daily lives.
Having the necessary materials to learn should not be one of them. The only way I can ensure my children are successful in their educational journey is to provide these tools to them.
My Project
This project will allow each child to have a white board in their desk. This will save on paper as the children practice their spelling words as well as their multiplication and division facts.
Having a white board will cut down on paper and will add a different dimension to learning.
During this time of COVID teachers are encouraged to pass out and collect as few papers as possible. These white boards will assist in keeping us all safer.
Having a white board on an easel will save on chart paper and be a wonderful place for our Morning Message. It will also be a great place to post our daily learning objectives.
