These students come from culturally diverse backgrounds and often encounter economic and cultural biases. Cultivating and maintaining a positive environment that nurtures a love for writing is essential. These young individuals are intelligent, caring, courageous, and unique, filled with the potential to make a difference in the world.
For my colleagues and I to grow and bloom as educators, we need this small library of professional texts to guide the way.
Acquiring these texts will enable us to significantly increase our supply of skilled resources significantly, enhancing lesson accessibility, rigor, and engagement for all students.
This approach to teaching writing will allow for flexibility in how our students access materials and demonstrate their understanding. With these resources, we can grow as teachers of reading and writing, which will ultimately benefit our students. Please help us expand our learning opportunities and achieve our goals!
