Working Hard to Grow, Comfortably

Help me give my students a comfortable place to strengthen their skills, academically and emotionally. I am requesting a new carpet, some bean bag chairs, a variety of books to love, and items to help them self-regulate.

My Project

I have been an elementary teacher for 24 years in my district. In 2025-2026, I am moving into a Basic Skills position.

I am also moving into an empty classroom!

I want to create a space where the students feel comfortable giving their best.

I have bought so much already to decorate, celebrating our diversity and uniqueness, and a laminator would be a dream come true.

I have had a bean bag chair for 20 years, which every student has loved. Having several will give all the students in my groups an opportunity to get comfortable! A rug is also the perfect spot for stretching out with a book.

As a long-term teacher, I also understand the importance of social-emotional wellness. I have taught inclusion classes and students on the spectrum. I want to have items on hand to help my children focus and self-regulate.
