My students come from a low-income, high poverty area. They face challenges every day inside and outside of the classroom. They are learning to be good citizens, kind people, and excellent readers.
I hope to help my students reach their goals.
They need someone to believe in them. Someone who can honestly tell them they can be anything they want to be and do anything they set their minds to. I want to give them access to all the tools they need to be successful.
My Project
Our students have computer programs they must participate in during school. Their goal is to get at least 90 minutes each week on the programs. This Chromebook and the headphones will make that goal more of a reality for these students. As students work toward their goals and reach little milestones, I want to reward them for their hard work and success. Therefore, the prizes, such as silly putty, erasers, play-doh, and toy assortments will be used for their incentives and rewards as they accomplish their goals throughout the year. I think students will really be inspired by everyone who is willing to help and give to them this year.
