Working Comfortably in our Classroom!

My Students

Do you remember your first year of school; the excitement you experienced greeting your fellow kindergarten classmates and sharing your experiences with them? I have the pleasure of teaching the greatest and youngest students in PA; however, we live in a large city, and attend school in a poorly funded school district.

My students are curious and love learning!

They are particularly interested in hands-on, collaborative, and critical thinking activities. My students come from incredibly loving and involved families, many of whom are immigrants, and do not fluently speak English. This creates various challenges that we must overcome together.

My Project

Our class is in need of lap desks so we have more space to work comfortably in our classroom.

We need to spread out so we can work independently.

We are lucky enough to have access to Chromebooks that we use for our online intervention programs. Unfortunately, we are very cramped at our tables and need some space to spread out. These lap desks can be used across the curriculum. By having access to lap desks, we will be able to spread out and have plenty of room work independently!

We also need a color printer so that we can print out our certificates that we earn from our intervention programs, as well as, writing projects that we create on the computer!
