"Can we read all day?" That is the phrase I hear most mornings when I greet my classes. They love to read. My students beg to get comfortable and read their latest find from the library or the most treasured tale from their own collection. Many of my students yearn to soak up the stories that launch them into a different country, continent, universe or even galaxy.
My students have made my classroom their home due to Hurricane Harvey.
Our classroom in their safe place, their own little slice of heaven in their water logged world. The students in my classroom are dreamers, lovers, and continue to learn through all the struggles that the past few weeks have brought them.
My Project
Sitting in hard chairs and desks can cause back aches and other pains. With flexible seating, my students are able to get comfortable and work or read. I am asking for six folding chairs, three pack chairs, eight junior quest chairs and a bungee chair. Having students get comfortable help them to be able to focus longer and spend energy on their work, not trying to wiggle around or fidget with things in their desks.
Fold able chairs are a great way to have those students choose where to sit and get started on their work.
Everyone feels better sitting on a comfortable chair to read or create a writing masterpiece. Third graders have high expectations put upon them for reading and writing.
