My Students

This year I have decided to return to my special education roots in a new district and my class will be a mix of kindergarten through fifth grade. I teach small intervention groups as the resource teacher. I met my new students at the end of last year and they are wonderful and eager to learn.

I can't wait to get to know them better and start making an educational difference and watch them bloom.

From the excitement to learn paired with kind encouragement of friendship, this year is going to be awesome-sauce!

My Project

As I continue to navigate the special education world and support my students in their general education classroom, I find the need for common core based work at each students individual level is necessary.

Being able to provide my students with work that is designed with the common core at the heart and spans along the grade levels would be powerful.

Children grow when they are presented with work at the level they need to learn at, asking students to work above their level leads to more confusion and frustration. Being able to support both student and teacher will go far. Thank you for supporting my students.
