Students love these! Anytime you turn learning into a game, you are creating a joy of learning. We have enriched the classroom with sight word, math, and phonic games. Some are game boards and some we do digitally. I was also able to purchase worksheets to compliment our learning. Lastly, I invested in an intervention program that I can use with students who struggle. Every dollar was wisely spent! If you could have seen the looks on their faces when they saw the new table and chair, you would have laughed with joy. They couldn't believe that the table and chair could both be adjusted to fit each of them personally. Each of them took the opportunity to turn the crank and make the table go up and down. When you see the photos, please don't be alarmed at the size that these items seem to take up in the space. Each one of my students has plenty of space to use the items comfortably and well.\r\n\r\nFor me, the items make each teaching/learning session more productive. The table and chair fitted perfectly to each child's needs, helps students produce their best work with- out the distraction of awkward hand or foot placement. The workspace is large enough to hold all of the materials they need without knocking them off the table or cramping their writing space. This luxury helps us to transition between activities quickly and easily. If I were to guess, I would bet that our learning time has extended at least five minutes per session. Over the course of the school year, that is a significant amount of time. \r\n\r\nIn the world of intervention, time is precious. The amount of time added to each session, along with the added comfort and efficient posture each student receives, and the size of the workspace for their materials, is benefitting each child's education. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to share this with each of you. YOU are directly improving the educational outcomes of these students who usually struggle in school. You are directly improving the educational environment of my space.
