The comet balls, ring toss games, foam pogo jumpers, hopscotch rings, and activity mats have added exciting new options to our PE classes and have been especially helpful in creating activities that are accessible and successful for students with a wide range of abilities.\r\n\r\nMy students were so excited when they saw the new equipment! We have been using the materials in stations, games, and skill-building activities that focus on balance, coordination, throwing, jumping, and movement. The foam pogo jumpers have been a huge hit and are a fun way for students to challenge their balance and coordination. The comet balls and ring toss sets give students opportunities to practice throwing and aiming in a way that feels more like play than practice. The colorful mats and hopscotch rings have also allowed me to create new movement courses and activities that keep students active and engaged.\r\n\r\nOne of the things I appreciate most about these materials is the variety they provide. In elementary PE, students come to class with many different skill levels, strengths, and needs. Having equipment that can be adapted and used in different ways helps me create opportunities where every child can participate and experience success. We have been able to incorporate them into a variety of activities and games that work on teamwork, coordination, balance, spatial awareness, and cardiovascular fitness. One of the best parts has been seeing students who may not always feel confident in traditional sports find an activity they absolutely love.\r\n\r\nThe scooters have also given me the opportunity to create new lessons and bring back some favorite activities that are much more successful when we have enough safe, reliable equipment for everyone. The wind-up crayons have been especially useful as we complete our animal reports. We have been coloring in habitats and adding background details. Your generous donation has been put to very good use. The class uses the purchased magnetic activities each and every day! After our daily math lessons are completed, students rotate through 5 different hands on math bins (one for each day of the week). The magnetic cars and tracks and the magnetic building sticks are put in two of the math bins. Students get so excited when they have the magnetic toys as a rotation. They have the freedom to create and build with their peers. This is so fun to watch! I've also noticed that good conversation and problem solving skills are initiated through these activities. You have made a difference in our classroom and we are so grateful for your kindness. Some are game boards and some we do digitally. I was also able to purchase worksheets to compliment our learning. Lastly, I invested in an intervention program that I can use with students who struggle. Every dollar was wisely spent!
