Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are now a combination of English speakers and English language learners that want to become bilingual. Our school is a Title I school. Their internet access is spotty at best, they are not always able to meet daily for our zoom meetings. They need other ways to also keep busy during such a challenging time. They are currently in need of materials to continue learning from home.

My Project

Parents during these uncertain times sometimes struggle with motivating their children to get their math work done while they are at home. Using the Math Dice Jr. game and the magnetic ten-frame answer boards will hopefully help them make math a more entertaining and concrete experience when they work with their parents. Kids learn best when they play! During zoom lessons the ten frame answer boards will also be a great tool for the students to work on their teens and facts up to 10. Their work will be more visible for their classmates to see.
