My Project

First graders encounter new words every day. While we are in reading groups, listening to our teacher read-aloud, or reading our news magazines, we find new words.

Help me keep students curious and engaged to discover new words, by helping us to get a label maker with labels to print and post in portable, personal word wall folders.

First graders love to discover phonics patterns, suffixes, prefixes, rhymes, and initial phonemes in words. While we read, students will be able to print out new words to stick in their portable word wall folders, then access these words to use in their writing!
