Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are English Language Learners and are in grades first through sixth. Some may still be struggling with the foundational stages of phonics. To address this, we are incorporating a visual support tool using word tiles. This hands-on method allows students to manipulate the tiles and sounds, engaging multiple senses in the learning process.

I believe this will provide valuable support to enhance their understanding of phonics and reading.

These materials will be used daily as an addition to our curriculum to help students engage in the reading process. We will use the tiles to build, decode, read, and write words daily.
