My students need a variety of different writing materials to help them develop a love for writing. Using Rainbow Scratch paper and watercolors as well as other mediums to practice writing makes learning more kid friendly.
A typical day in my kindergarten classroom is very busy. Students are actively engaged in their learning through various activities as well as play.
I work in a low-income school where a variety of different ethnic groups make up our diverse student body.
Many of our students begin their education without knowing the letters of the alphabet and not having any experiences with a school setting. Our school serves 100% of the students free breakfast and lunch. Our school's environment is very friendly and every teacher goes out of their way to make a difference in the lives of our scholars.
My Project
Young children need fun hands on materials to become good writers. Using a variety of different mediums to write makes writing fun for students in kindergarten.
Using Rainbow Scratch paper, watercolors, markers and a variety of other mediums makes writing much more enjoyable for our youngest learners.
I believe that young children need to be able to manipulate and interact with a variety of different mediums in order to keep their interest and help them enjoy learning.
Learning to write is a big step for small children. Being able to manipulate objects, being able to use a variety of different mediums helps keep students interest in writing thus helping them become better writers.
