Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are busy little bees this year. They have lots of energy and love to learn and create. With your donations my little kiddos can have an amazing 2019 school year with materials that will last for years to come. These kids love to dress up and get messy. All my students come from low income homes with many English Language Learners. I want to push their capabilities to learn through exploration.
My students have a passion for learning, that I want to keep alive.

My Project
We are requesting a new laptop so that my students can learn the basics of Coding for Kids and watch Youtube videos of women in science. This project will help my students learn the importance of math and science. Many times our students are having such a difficult time learning how to read that they don't get a chance to learn about the importance of math and science. I want my young students to learn the basics of coding and for them to learn about women scientists. Often kids assume that certain jobs only able to certain genders and I want to break that mold.
There are so many important women scientists and women leaders that good overlooked.
I want my young female students to realize that they too can do anything. That there are no limits. The best way to do this to show them other women who have accomplished so much. There are many online programs and apps for teaching coding to kids, I want to spark a love for science and math.
