Wobbly Chairs for Wiggly Learners

Help me give my students flexible seating in the classroom. The wobble chairs would be a great addition to help students who like to fidget or move while they work.

My Students

This is my first year teaching at my current school. The students I have are a great group of kids, and it would be helpful to have more supplies in the classroom to benefit their learning. These days kiddos are filled with so much energy and cannot stay still. Think about it really, as adults do we really stay completely still when sitting for over 7 hours! I would love to give my students a choice in flexible seating. This would be beneficial to many of them.

My Project

Wobble chairs will help those students who like to fidget or can't help but move while they work. Regular chairs don't allow them to do that and this lowers their focus when learning.

I would love for the students to be able to choose the seating that works best for them.

My students are very energetic learners and they love reading and math, but they struggle to stay still. For some, it is just impossible. Wobble chairs will give kids a way to release some of the extra energy throughout the day while sitting so long.

My goal is to have every child have a wobble chair or flexible seating to their preference. As a first-year teacher, I have not accumulated much and your help would be a great start. I really do believe the chairs will help the kiddos stay fully engaged and on task.
