Wobbling Our Way To Learning

Help me give my students six wobble chairs to create a comfortable learning environment and provide more flexible seating options.

My Students

I teach an amazing group of 3rd graders. We are a Title I school, which means we are a school with high numbers or high percentages of children in low-income families. They are a resilient group of students and care about their school and peers. I am here to not only educate them academically but also to be a mentor and positive role model in their lives.

My Project

Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and in a space that works best for them. Throughout the school day, my students choose a location in the classroom that allows them to work comfortably and independently. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in engaging them. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given a choice in their seating.

My students are more engaged in their work when they are given a choice of where to work independently in a comfortable space.

The chairs that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The wobble stools will allow students to sit at tables, but will still allow for some movement. These will be beneficial for some students that just need to move and get their wiggle out!

I have seen how choice can positively affect my student's work!
