My Students
My first grade students are enthusiastic about learning and love to participate in hands-on activities. I have the opportunity to reach 36 students daily in my math/science/writing class. During class, we move around a lot to stay focused. We switch from the carpet to our desks, to an activity around the room.
Comfortable and flexible seating will be a strategic method to preserve focus and extend attention spans.
Students love the option of sitting on the floor with a friend or grabbing a comfy pillow. This project would help create more opportunities for seating options.
My Project
This project will directly affect 36 amazing first graders. They will love having an option of sitting in a wobble chair as they work. My inquisitive, creative, and thoughtful first graders would also learn important lessons about sharing and responsibilities with these new flexible seating options.
Students will be more engaged during class if they feel comfortable while working.
This is a safe and easy way to increase engagement and excitement in the classroom. Students will be able to sit next to their friends and feel relaxed in class. This project would make a huge difference for these children and I know they would greatly appreciate your support funding their wobble seats.
