Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are very respectful, caring, and are eager to learn. We are a 98% free and reduced lunch school with a 98% ethnicity rate. We are comprised of a Hispanic, White, and a small population of African-American students. We are located in a modest and rich agricultural community full of hardworking families.
Our students come prepared and ready to learn.
The students teach each other and have fun in and outside of the classroom every day. They come with great attitudes that match their wonderful personalities.
My Project
As we prepare for the smarter balance testing, students will be sitting for long period of time. To help some, my students that have difficulties sitting still and focusing, what better way to surprise them than with flexible seating? No more leaning the chairs back and creating a danger to themselves or others, no more getting out of their seats because they feel the need to move around. The flexible seating would encourage the wobblers to focus on their educational success. I am here to give all my students the success they need with your help to make this possible!
