They always have a thirst for learning. They are full of excitement as they enter the door with curiosity gleaming wanting to know what the academic day has in store. Our school is located near 2 major Air Force Bases in Northwest Florida. It is a Title I school, which means over half of our school is on free and reduced lunch. Fifty percent of the children in my class have one or both parents serving in the military, which means that one or both of their parents may deployed for an extended time through out the year. This will leave the children to be in transient with their extended families. They just pick up wherever they are and continue to grow academically, mentally, and physically. These children are so resilient; they sacrifice so much for our freedom.
My Project
The flexible seating has worked wonders for our classroom. Some of my scholars need to bounce and others need to wiggle and wobble. Therefore, I am requesting for on behalf of my scholars some wobble stools to add to our flexible seating.
With providing a variety of flexible seating options, it will help promote a positive learning environment for the enquist minds.
The flexible seatings will promote positive choices, help release extra energy, and increase the blood flow to the brain.Researchers have stated that students are more engaged and are able to retain morer information when they are able to select their own choice of working environment.
