Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 5th grade readers all learn differently, and I'm working to create a classroom where every student can find a space that helps them succeed. Flexible seating will give my students the freedom to choose the environment that helps them focus, feel comfortable, and develop a love of reading.

Wobble chairs/stools will support students during small-group reading instruction by providing movement that helps them stay engaged.

Lap desks and floor cushions will allow students to work independently in quiet spaces throughout the room, reducing distractions. Floor chairs will transform our reading nook into a cozy place where students can curl up with a good book and truly enjoy reading. Lastly, wobble cushions can turn an uncomfortable school chair into a sensory experience that will eliminate distracted fidgeting during instruction.

These aren't just seats…they're opportunities for choice, independence, and confidence. Your generosity will help create a classroom where every child feels supported as they become the author of their own story.
