My Students

My third grade classroom is a place where I get to watch my students' faces light up each day as they have fun learning, problem solving, and have fun spending time with their classmates. I teach in a small, rural school where there is only one classroom per grade. I am very fortunate to live and teach in a community that is so supportive of our small town school.

This year I have 16 eager, ready to learn 3rd graders!

It will be a busy classroom filled with kids who are excited for school and ready to have fun while learning.

My Project

For the majority of the school day my students are sitting at their desk and working. At times it is difficult for students to remain focused and on task. Having wobble chairs available in my third grade classroom would allow students to gently rock or wobble while they work.

Being able to move while working allows would allow my 3rd graders to focus more effectively on their learning.

Wobble chairs would also provide my students with the opportunity to integrate movement and motion into their learning without being distracting to the students around them. Wobble chairs have been shown to beneficial to students with attention difficulties.
