My Students

My students are active, creative, and love learning. They impress me with their kindness and their problem solving abilities.

My goals are for them to become lifelong learners and to never give up when they are presented with a challenge.

I have students who receive special services, are english language learners, and receive free and reduced lunch. I also have students who's academic and emotional intelligence is far beyond their years. I enjoy the challenge of engaging each and every one of these students every day.

My Project

I teach a very active group of 1st graders. They want to learn and be engaged but sitting still is not how they learn best. I am excited to offer them the opportunity to move while they work. Being able to move while they are engaged in their work helps them stay focused.

It is important for students to have movement during the day to increase the blood flow to the brain, so they do not feel sluggish or disengaged.

I have taught with multiple teachers and experienced many different flexible seating options. The wobble stools were the students' and my favorite. I am looking forward to providing my students with a chance to be more successful in my class.
