This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are energetic, creative, and eager to learn. They thrive when they are engaged and excited to learn! However, they come from low-income households and do not always have the latest access to an environment that makes learning fun and encouraging. Most of the students are students full of bright ideas, imaginative solutions, and interesting innovations waiting to unfold. Many of these intelligent students come from a struggling or traumatic background and look to school as their safe place.

My Project

One of the most important aspects of successful learning is an engaging and welcoming environment that makes learning fun. Unfortunately, my class is a portable full of drab brown, stiff student chairs and desks with minimal lighting. Providing bright, flexible seating options such as wobble stools and Mobile Laptop desks for my students helps make the learning experience more exciting.

Not only does flexible seating make learning more fun, but it also aids those students who struggle with ADHD and other learning impairments.Flexible seating increases student motivation and engagement, helps students focus and process information, and provides comfort.

Comfortable students are more calm and productive.
