My Students
My students are amazing! They strive to do their best work. My students' learning ability ranges from below grade level to several grade level above. My goal is to get them excited about learning. My hope is to have a complete movement classroom for them to learn and grow.
Our school takes pride in creating innovative and progressive opportunities for all learners.
This project will enhance the educational program for my students through the incorporation of exercise equipment specifically designed to be used during the learning process. I currently serve 45 very diverse fifth grade students. My students work hard and want to succeed. The equipment will enhance my student’s learning in math, science and social studies as well as helping them learn the importance of movement and keeping their bodies healthy.
I am requesting another seating option so that students are empowered with choice. This tools will help them stay focused and allow them to move while highly engaged in learning. The equipment will be used while students are working at the computer, independently at their desks, and during instruction in a rotational setting. Essentially, students will be moving all day long!
My Project
This year, our school is focusing on personalized learning for each student. A part of personalized learning is students being able to make choices that will enhance their learning. Students will have the choice to choose the seating option that will help them to learn best. This will help with empowerment and ownership of their learning.
Our classroom is working to become a full action based learning environment.
The adjustable wobble stools would be an added tool to help students enhance their learning through movement. Because students will be moving while on the stools, there will be increased memory retention, focus and attention all while learning.
