This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are dual-language learners, who come to school everyday excited and eager to learn. I have twenty, 4 year old preschoolers in a full-day Head Start program in the city of Chicago. My students are very active learners, who love to sing, dance, and play. When they come together in my classroom, I want to give them rich learning experiences.
It is my goal to help my students expand their minds by making everyday a fun and engaging adventure.
My Project
To help my students expand their minds, I need to create a classroom environment that helps them to focus on learning new concepts. When learning new concepts, some students can get fidgety and need to move around to allow those new ideas to settle in. Wobble chairs are the best for that!
Wobble chairs will allow my students to wiggle around, yet stay engaged with what they are working on.
I will use them during small group sessions and as alternative seating for those students that have difficulty staying focused on the carpet during whole group instruction.
My little ones will be able to wobble their wiggles away!
