My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I teach at a Title I school in Florida where 54 percent of our students are minorities and 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Even though our students are considered to be poverty stricken, that does not hold our students back.
Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best.
They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day. They love coming to school and stepping into the world of learning where they get to "be all they can be" and strengthen their love of learning through literacy, math, science technology, and much, much more.
My Project
Middle schoolers have to sit for extended periods of time with very little opportunity to move. These chairs will allow students to move throughout the period, continue working, and increase their focus.

I had a similar project supported through Donor's Choose at my previous school, the students absolutely loved these chairs. I didn't have enough chairs for the entire classroom, so there was race to see which student could get the chair each day, and each period. I know that the teacher in that room is putting those chairs to great use! Focus on learning definitely increased as well, who could as for more.
